    • After Only Two Weeks, An Adoptive Mother Gives A Child Back Yvette Maguire desperately wanted children. After 18 months of failing to conceive, she and her husband Mark turned to IUI treatments, which failed the couple three times. After IVF treatments also failed, the Maguires decided to turn to adoption. The process was emotionally draining, but the Maguires pressed on. As Yvette recalls, "The entire process is designed to put you off, to frighten you to see if you're 100 per cent committed. But it didn't deter either of us. I was so blinkered that all I could think was: 'I want a baby, I want a baby.'" The couple eventually got their wish: a 2-year-old boy named Ben, who "had been terribly neglected as a baby" was placed in their custody. Yvette finally had the child she always wanted. But then something went wrong: just two weeks after welcoming little Ben into their home, Yvette felt a disconnect from the child, and eventually returned him to the adoption agency as a result. • Sasha Fierce And Her Backup Dancers Are B-rilliant The highlight of last night's otherwise super-dark SNL was an incredibly silly skit featuring surprise guest Justin Timberlake, who showed up during Weekend Update to apologize for the fact that he had to back out of an upcoming Thanksgiving episode. Timberlake tried to make amends by condensing his best bits into a 2-minute recap, and continued to win over the audience by popping up as a leotard-wearing backup dancer at a "rehearsal" for Beyonce's new video. Watching Timberlake and Beyonce dance around together is hilarious; you almost forget that Timberlake is one of the biggest stars in the world as he dances goofily around Sasha Fierce, who also holds superstar status. • Love Not Hate: Proposition 8 Protest Pictures From Readers Across The Country Yesterday, we asked our readers to send in their photos from the various anti-Proposition 8 rallies that were taking place throughout the United States. The response was overwhelming; Jezebels from California to Ohio to Boston to New York City sent in their pictures, documenting a day spent fighting for love and equality. The pictures are striking and beautiful; in each of the various cities captured on film, there is a true sense of love and the desire to change the world for the better. A gallery of reader-submitted photos, after the jump. MORE »

    • The passage of Proposition 8 in California has led comedian Wanda Sykes to be more outspoken about her sexuality. Sykes, who claims that everyone in her personal life is aware that she's gay, felt "attacked" by Proposition 8 and has decided to speak out about her personal life as a result. "You know, I don't really talk about my sexual orientation. I didn't feel like I had to. I was just living my life, not necessarily in the closet, but I was living my life," Sykes says, "Now, I gotta get in their face. I'm proud to be a woman. I'm proud to be a black woman, and I'm proud to be gay."[HuffingtonPost] MORE »

    • Paul Rudd And Andy Samberg Paint A Pretty Insane Picture On SNL Last night's Saturday Night Live was seriously bizarre, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Taking a fairly dark turn after the Election Mania that gave the show a ton of buzz and a serious bump in the ratings, SNL returned last night with guest host Paul Rudd, putting out a show that was both wacky and terrifying. (As one commenter asked last night, "Did they get a deal on fake blood, or something?") Perhaps the strangest skit of the night was the digital short starring Digital Short Superstar Andy Samberg and Rudd as friends who, you know, just want to paint each other in a seriously NSFW way. Their masterpiece turns out to be not-so-easy on the eyes for everyone else who gets a glimpse, however. NSFW (or for the squeamish) clip, after the jump. MORE »
